WBO Welterweight Champion Terence Crawford Prefers To Fight Manny Pacquiao Over Shawn Porter

Even though the World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight belt is no longer with eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, his name remains hot on those he wants to fight.

A boxing legend like Pacquiao, whose name is still brilliant even though he is not wearing a crown, is different.

In fact, World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Terence Crawford’s number one priority in his next fight is Pacquiao.

Pacquiao and Shawn Porter are lined up on Crawford’s list.

But he would rather face the Pinoy champion than Porter.

“Both of them are great fights. Yeah I prefer the Manny Pacquiao fight over Shawn Porter, but Shawn Porter is a great fight in its own right and I am going to be ready for whichever one comes to fruition,” said Crawford, talking to Fight Hype.

Pacquiao’s camp has not yet made a final decision on who will be its next opponent.

It is expected to be announced any day. And Crawford is on Pacquiao’s list.

That is why Crawford can do nothing but wait if he is the lucky one to be chosen.

He is still preparing to ensure that he is prepared in case the fight against Pacquiao continues.

“I really can’t say. All I can do is prepare myself to the best of my abilities and be ready for whatever is put in front of me. Both of them have their own strong points. Manny Pacquiao is fast and moving, he can punch. Shawn Porter is aggressive, tough, and durable,” added Crawford.
