As of the 7:30 PM bulletin from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the alert level is now raised to Alert Level 4 (hazardous eruption imminent).
According to the said government agency, the reason for raising the alert level is due to the current state of Taal Volcano.
“Sa naganap, itinataas ng DOST-PHIVOLCS sa Alert Level 4 ang estado ng Bulkang Taal kung saan posible ang mapanganib na pagputok sa loob ng ilang oras hanggang ilang araw.” according to the bulletin.
Likewise, they continue to advise the public for a complete evacuation from the Taal Volcano Island and also to the high-risk barangays within the 14-kilometer radius from the Taal Main Crater.
