The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) only needs the official permission of the cities of Mandaluyong and San Juan for their training.
This is after the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) under chairman Abraham ‘Baham’ Mitra approved the three facilities that PVL teams will use for the start of their training.
Mitra’s inspected venues include the Ronac Gym in Mandaluyong City and the Filoil Flying V Center and Greenhills West Gym in San Juan City.
Mitra issued a directive to GAB staff to provide adequate support to PVL for the expected rehearsal of volleyball players.
PVL, the country’s first professional volleyball league, will hold its inaugural season in May at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.
Creamline, BanKo Perlas and Choco Mucho plan to practice at Ronac, while Petro Gazz plans to train at the Filoil Flying V Center and Peak Form in Greenhills West.
The Philippine Army and Philippine Air Force guest teams are training in their respective military bases.
Other teams that will play in the PVL are Bali Pure / Chef’s Classics and inexperienced PLDT and Cignal.
