PSL: Sta Lucia Lady Realtors’ Bang Pineda, Jonah Sabete Gains Early Lead In Pool A

Sta. Lucia is determined to win the 2021 Gatorade-Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup crown after their two pairs recorded a win yesterday at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) sand courts.

Bang Pineda and Jonah Sabete of Sta Lucia-2 unleashed its brutality after defeating Ariane Luna Alarcon and Christina Canares of Kennedy Solar Energy-PetroGazz with a score of 21-10, 21-7 demolition.

With the win, Sta. Lucia-2 gained an early lead in Pool A. The Kennedy Solar Energy-PetroGazz meanwhile fell to 0-1.

DM Demontano and Jackielyn Estoquia of Sta. Lucia-1 registered a 21-18, 21-13 win over Jonah San Pedro and Javen Sabas of Toby’s Sports.

Like Pineda and Sabete, Estoquia and Demontano scored 1-0 in Pool B while San Pedro and Sabas fell 0-1.

The two pairs of Abanse Negrense also early on showed they are a force to be reckoned with in this tourney.

Alexa Polidario and Erjan Magdato of Abanse Negrense-1 defeated F2 Logistics bets Jenny Mar Senares and Kyla Angela Gallego, 21-15, 21-12, to join Sta. Lucia-2 in Pool A.

Jennifer Casas and Gelimae Villanueva of Abanse Negrense-2 also won by a landslide victory over Ella Viray and Theresa Ramos of the United Auctioneers, 21-12, 21-12.

Abanse Negrense-2 joins Sta. Lucia-1 at the top of Pool B holds the same 1-0 record.
