Eight teams will compete in the 2021 Gatorade-Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup set for Friday at the SBMA sand courts.
PSL chairman Philip Ella Juico warmly announced the confirmation of the resumption of the volleyball tournament in the country after several months of delay due to the pandemic.
The PSL did this in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and local government unit in the SBMA.
“We want to thank the teams, especially our guest team PetroGazz, for helping us restart our beach volleyball tournament using a bubble setup,” said Juico.
The pairs of Bang Pineda and Jonah Sabete, and DM Demontano and Jackie Estoquia will play for the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors.
Also determined to provide a good match were F2 Logistics (Jenny Mar Senares and Kyla Angela), Chery Tiggo-United Auctioneers, Inc. (Ella Viray and Theresa Ramas), Abanse Negrense 1 (Alexa Polidario and Erjan Magdato), Abanse Negrense 2 (Jennifer Cosas and Gelimae Villanueva), and Toby’s Sports (Jonah San Pedro and Javen Sabas).
Juico assured that it will be safe to host the beach volley tournament because strict rules will be enforced throughout the tournament.
