San Miguel re-signs Von Pessumal and Billy Mamaril and tapped Bambam Gamalinda from the free-agent market to bolster their upcoming PBA campaign.
Though he usually coming in from the bench, yet, the former Gilas cadet has embraced its sixth man role in the fully packed backcourt position of San Miguel.
Each time coach Leo Austria called his name, Pessumal is always ready to deliver most especially from downtown and was the reason he earned the nickname, “Tresummal”.
Billy Mamaril’s presence is much needed in the upcoming 45th PBA season as SMB’s big-man June Mar Fajardo was reported to be out in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup and possibly the rest of the season.
“Billy Mama” will be entering his 18th PBA career and his experience, as well as his toughness, is vital to his team’s success.
Similar to Pessumal, Bambam Gamalinda is also one of the players who are always ready each time their name is called by their coach especially if they needed an instant offense from the bench.
Gamalinda most likely will be Arwind Santos backup forward who can also play the hi-low strategy of the Beermen.
