The TNT KaTropa won the last spot of the top-four after they subdue the San Miguel Beermen in the last game of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup elimination round, 114-109.
Final: 114 – 109 in favor of the TNT KaTropa! Best Player: Troy Rosario with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists #PBALabanKungLabanPosted by PBA on Wednesday, November 20, 2019
TNT’s forward Troy Rosario went almost unstoppable this evening particularly from the three-point area where he made seven of his shots out of 12 attempts.
The stretch big-man delivered 30 points and 10 boards and was named as the Best Player of the Game.
It was a rematch of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup for both ball-clubs while having new imports to help them reach the season-ending tourney promise land.
Talk ‘N Text was in control almost the entire match where they lead as much as 18 points. The KaTropa seems like taking advantage of the still adjusting to the system Beermen import John Holland.
The SMB import was lured to take outside shots which he did. Holland was miserable from downtown as he went 1-of-12. Yet, to be fair with him, that single three-pointer he made was almost a game-changer but the KaTropa have several firemen to put away the fire when San Miguel attempted to steal the victory.
The Beermen were able to cut that double-digit deficit late in the fourth quarter where they even tasted a brief one-point lead. That was after Holland buried his three-pointer. However, KJ McDaniels was there to answer back with his own version of the three-point shot.
In the next SMB ball possession, after the inbound, Holland immediately launched another three-pointer but that time around McDaniels knew what he is going to do and his shot got blocked.
Then the rest was history and Talk ‘N Text will have the twice-to-beat advantage as they head to the first round of the playoffs which will start on Sunday.
Pogoy to McDaniels… Slam DUNK!!!
