Team San Miguel is coming from a defeat versus the TNT KaTropa last November 20 in Ynares Center.

That loss made them move to the fifth spot of the standings and missed the chance to carry a twice-to-beat advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

SMB had the chance to win the game in the last few seconds of the fourth quarter after John Holland swished his lone three-pointer. Yet, Talk ‘N Text able to recover behind the splendid performance of their import, KJ McDaniels.

June Mar Fajardo is expected to make a huge bounce-back game tonight as he only managed to produce 13 points in that said match. Terrence Romeo, Chris Ross, and Marcio Lassiter were the other Beermen players who scored more than 15 points.

For team Ginebra on the other hand, they’re coming from a defeat versus the NorthPort Batang Pier last November 17 also in Araneta Coliseum.

The scrappy performance of the new duo of NorthPort seems to be too much for Ginebra. Christian Standhardinger and Michael Qualls had a combined 47 points and 24 rebounds to propel their squad to victory.

Likewise, the second unit of coach Pido Jarencio team outscored coach Tim Cone’s bench players, 11-31.

In that match, it appears that team NSD relied heavily on their import, Justin Brownlee as he finished with 31 points and nine boards.

Guys like Jeff Chan and Arthur Dela Cruz need to add more aggressiveness in their scoring for them to have a better chance to close their quarterfinals assignment and move to the semis.
