The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) warned Calvin “The Beast” Abueva that he is still under probation.
According to GAB chairman Baham Mitra, Abueva still has to fulfill all the requirements in order to fully restore his professional license.
Abueva’s probation period is six months.
Even if it moves from Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters to Magnolia Hotshots, its state will remain as probationary.
“Calvin is still under the six-month probation period. Even if he has transferred to a different team, as a professional athlete licensed by GAB, he still needs to honour what has been agreed upon and his commitment to the Board which was the basis of the reinstatement,” said Mitra.
In October, Abueva was given the opportunity to play again in the PBA Season 45.
His probation will end in April – exactly the target of the PBA’s return action for Season 46 of the league.
