Just this afternoon, the total of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the Philippines now reach 52 according to the Department of Health.

There are three additional cases reported today and the involved Filipinos are aged 69 (female), 26 (male), and 79 (female). The first two coronavirus infected patients are said to be residents of Quezon City while the third patient home address is still being validated.

“The DOH and deployed surveillance teams, in cooperation with concerned Local Government Units, are now conducting extensive information-gathering and contact tracing activities on the new cases,” the agency said in a statement.

Earlier today at 5:00 PM, it was reported that President Duterte along with Senator Christopher “Bong” Go were tested for the virus at the Bahay Pagbabago in the Malacañang complex. This is to make sure that the said government officials are healthy after they had close contact with a person who tested positive with COVID-19.
