Here is the live streaming video of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte where he will address the nation with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic in the morning of May 12, 2020.
Tonight it will be determined what will be the fate of Metro Manila and other COVID-19 high-risk areas that are still under the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque told this during a live press briefing.
“On Monday, we expect the president’s approval on what will happen to us on May 16,” said Roque.
Roque has also shut down rumors that the entire National Capital Region will be on General Community Quarantine nor it will also remain on ECQ after May 16 since the decision of the Palace still not finalized.
“So it’s not true that all places in Metro Manila will shift to GCQ (general community quarantine) and it’s also not true that the entire Metro Manila will remain under ECQ. Let’s wait until Monday because we expect the IATF to have a special meeting in the morning,” said Roque.
“In the afternoon, they will submit to the president the recommendation on what will happen to the areas that are still under ECQ,” he added.
