San Miguel Beermen big-man June Mar Fajardo was reported that he may miss the entire 2020 PBA Philippine Cup.
According to the reports, the league’s only five-time Most Valuable Player will be sidelined due to a shin injury. The same injury he suffered in their 44th PBA season campaign where he missed several games.
Likewise, there are reports gathered by spin.ph that Fajardo may even miss the entire 45th PBA season as his injury is much more serious.
The Beermen are targeting their sixth straight All-Filipino Cup crown but without the “Kraken” in the middle, coach Leo Austria needs to adjust in order for them to bring similar level like Fajardo is around.
Next month, Fajardo is among the leading candidates for the MVP award and if he wins it all then it’ll be his sixth giving him more distance from Alvin Patrimonio and Mon Fernandez where both got four MVP plums.
San Miguel is also scheduled to have a Finals rematch in the opening night of the upcoming PBA season. They will be battling against the slightly retooled Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok on March 1.
