The Far Eastern University Tamaraws is scheduled for a head-to-head match against the UST Growling Tigers at 2:00 P.M. on March 8, 2020 live from the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila.
The Tamaraws will make an attempt to deliver their second victory and top the standings while the Growling Tigers wanted to make a quick bounce-back win when the UAAP Season 82 Men’s Volleyball continues at the MOA Arena this afternoon.
Team UST is coming from a defeat versus the defending champion, the NU Bulldogs a few days ago. They got eliminated in the fourth set with the game scores of 27-25, 23-25, 25-19, 27-25.
Their opponent employed a new system to make sure they snagged their first win despite missing several players.
“Bago kasi yung naging sistema namin, yung opensa ng UST, tapos ‘yung adjustment namin mabagal,” said NU head coach Dante Alinsunurin . “‘Yung first game namin medyo matigas talaga buti na lang nung bandang huli, hats off kami sa depensa namin.”
For team Tamaraws, on the other hand, they were the victorious squad during UAAP Season 82 opening day.
The last year’s finalist got their A-game and didn’t give their opponent any chance to make a comeback as they swept the match with the scores of 25-10, 25-22, 25-23.
“Magandang opportunity na grinab naman ng team. Kaya naman kami nagpunta dito to get the game, so the team is so blessed na nakuha namin ang game,” said FEU head coach Rei Diaz.
