Barangay Ginebra Back Is Back In The Governors’ Cup Finals

The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is back in the Governors’ Cup Finals after they eliminated the NorthPort Batang Pier by winning Game 4 (3-1) of their semi-finals round.

LA Tenorio dropped 19 points and made six assists to lead the Gin Kings in the victory. His playmaking abilities kept his squad steady particularly when the Batang Pier attempted to make a comeback in the third quarter.

All of the players who are in the starting unit of coach Tim Cone scored in double figures. Scottie Thompson had 14, Stanley Pringle got 18, Japeth Aguilar made 20 and Justin Brownlee continued to be consistent and this time around he delivered 36 points, 19 rebounds, and eight assists.

It’s the third Finals appearance in the season-ending tourney of the Gin Kings in the last four seasons.

In the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup, they were dethroned by the eventual champion, the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok.

The team NSD is now on a waiting mode as they wait for the winner between the Meralco Bolts and the TNT KaTropa.
