2019 SEA Games: Gilas Pilipinas Books Finals Round In Men’s 3X3

The Gilas Pilipinas will advance to the Finals round of the 2019 SEA Games Men’s Basketball 3X3 after they edged team Thailand in the Semi-Finals, 21-11.

Chris Newsome started the pace which leads to a 8-2 start for team Philippines. CJ Perez taking care of the outside bombardment while Jayson Perkins muscling inside the paint.

Perkins led the Philippine squad with his 7 points where the majority of his attempts came in the low post.

Perez made an early four points where it all came from beyond the three-point territory and finished the game with 5 points.

Team Thailand was able to put Gilas in a team penalty situation but it seems like they forgot that they can use it on their advantage. Instead, they settle outside jumpers rather than to drive hard to the basket.

Finally, Mo Tautuaa cemented the Gilas run and officially booked their Final ticket as he converted his three-point attempt.

Gilas Pilipinas will wait for the winner of Vietnam vs Indonesia game.
